As Senior Director, Operations, Jana is responsible for all Special Interest Group (SIG) operations, including facilitation, oversight and guidance. She is tasked to provide the tools, process, guidance, and overall support that will enable each SIG to progress their work. She also oversees cross-SIG operations and initiatives to ensure coordinated and efficient development of Energistics standards. In addition, Jana oversees internal operations related to Energistics's website, CRM, and network support. Jana joined Energistics in 2008 to provide program planning and management for all Energistics standards initiatives.
Previously, Jana worked for OFS Portal for nearly 7 years where she was responsible for catalog management and standards development activities. Jana also has experience in the telecommunications industry in the areas of HSE, Corporate Security and data exchange/systems integration.
As a member of API's Petroleum Industry Data Exchange (PIDX), Jana re-established the PIDX Business Process Workgroup in 2004, which is responsible for the development of business process guidelines governing procure-to-pay activities. Jana also led the Electronic Safety Data Initiative team responsible for revision of API’s RP 76 including a questionnaire for reporting health, safety and environmental activities and statistics related to upstream oil and gas and corresponding business messages. Jana was a member of the PIDX Executive Committee as Standards & Guidelines Committee Chair and was involved in numerous PIDX activities, including website, classification and Petroleum Industry Data Dictionary (PIDD) initiatives.
Jana holds a MA degree from the State University of New York - Brockport and a BA degree from Queen's University, Ontario, Canada.
