National Data Repository (NDR) Work Group

The NDR work group focuses on promoting collaboration of regulatory agencies and industry on oil and natural gas data management standards, with a particular focus on national data repositories.

overview

Global regulators of upstream oil and natural gas information, including seismic, drilling, production and reservoir data, formed the National Data Repository (NDR) Work Group in 2008 to collaborate on the development of data management standards and to assist emerging nations with hydrocarbon reserves to better collect, maintain and deliver oil and gas data to the public and to the industry.

Ten countries, led by the Netherlands, Norway and the United Kingdom, formed NDR to share best practices and to formalize the development and deployment of data management standards for regulatory agencies. The other countries involved in the NDR Work Group’s formation are Australia, Canada, India, Kenya, New Zealand, South Africa and the United States.

registering on the ndr collaboration hub

The NDR Collaboration Hub will initially be hosted by DECC via their UK Oil Portal. This is a very secure facility. The NDR Collaboration Hub may be accessed at:

https://www.og.decc.gov.uk/eng/fox/collab/COLLAB_HUB

When you first access the NDR Collaboration Hub, you will be presented with a login screen and registration for new users should be a simple exercise. You will need a user name and a password to register on the hub. Your user name will be your email address and you can choose your own password.

We have tried to keep registration requirements to a minimum but help is available. If you require assistance, please contact Stewart Robinson via Email or at: 00 44 300 068 5738 or 00 44 1689 605108.
