Philippe Malzac was born in 1951 and graduated from University Pierre et Marie Curie in Paris and from Ecole Nationale Supérieure du Pétrole et des Moteurs.
Mr. Malzac joined Elf Aquitaine in 1978 as a geophysicist in France then in the UK. He was successively appointed Project then Team Leader in seismic processing, Head of seismic department in 1988, and then Exploration Manager in Norway in 1994.
Back to France in 1998, Mr. Malzac held the position of R&D Business Manager, then Vice President Northern Europe (UK and Geosciences). He was Managing Director in Libya, before being appointed Vice President Information Systems for E&P as of 1st October 2007.
