They are intended for use by enterprise architects, solution developers, and solution and system integrators.

OVERVIEW

  • These standards, currently published as Version 1 (December 2008), describe a set of endorsements of existing computing specifications with related usage constraints and guidelines.
  • In many cases, these standards refer to the WS-I Base Profile and SOAP Binding Profile and cover areas, including message format, service description, security, XML schema use, and message transport.
  • During 2010, a review was undertaken to ensure that these standards are current and relevant. Members were invited to contribute material for consideration as extensions to the standards.
