Release Candidate Resources

The Release Candidate process

Our Special Interest Groups (SIG) work over a certain period to define and develop new versions for the Energistics standards. Prior to releasing a new version, it is offered to the industry at large for review and comment. Please note that feedback can be made whether your organization is a member of the SIG or not. The review period is always accompanied by a deadline for such submissions. The information garnered during this process is reviewed by the SIG, and can result either in a path directly to a new version, or the publishing of a new release candidate.

PRODML

PRODML v2.1 Release Candidate is now available for review, with a deadline of May 31, 2019 for comments and issues.  The release candidate includes an overview and release notes, schemas, documentation and a feedback form. The intent is for organizations to review all materials and test those aspects of the standard that are relevant to them. Testers can use the feedback form included with the download or send an email to standards@energistics.org.

PRODML v2.1 represents an incremental change from v2.0, making changes only where implementation experience found deficiencies in v2.0. The only significant addition is the implementation of the Pressure Transient Analysis (PTA) capability.

A pilot is underway between two operators in the Gulf of Mexico for regular partner data exchange.
