Web Services Interoperability Standard

Web Services Interoperability Standard

Web Services standard is intended to be used by energy industry companies as a basis for internal operating standards and to support the procurement of tools that will interoperate well together. They are intended for use by enterprise architects, solution developers, and solution and system integrators.

OVERVIEW

These standards, currently published as Version 1 (December 2008), describe a set of endorsements of existing computing specifications with related usage constraints and guidelines.

In many cases, these standards refer to the WS-I Base Profile and SOAP Binding Profile and cover areas, including message format, service description, security, XML schema use, and message transport.

During 2010, a review was undertaken to ensure that these standards are current and relevant. Members were invited to contribute material for consideration as extensions to the standards.
